So nothing further from happyharry.03, or ebay, or payscam today, although I did receive a letter from their collection agency which is going to be returned unopened.
Anyway, I managed to get back to exit 100 on the I29 before I needed to sleep which put me behind a bit. I got back to the yard and The Mighty Pete was in the workshop. The mechanics in Peterbilt had left the key on throughout the recent rebuild so I now also have 4 new batteries and a new starter motor. Sadly, I cannot persuade them to fit the wheels and tyres from unit 2014 to mine yet. That would give me 10% more miles because it increases the diameter of the wheels and throws the speedo out..
After my kip, it was back to the yard, a quick trailer change and off to Thief River, Minnesota, to load Arctic Cats. Going there is easy, you just head straight down Hwy 59 and cross into the US at Lancaster. It was pretty busy there as this is a holiday weekend.
Still, I got through with no troubles, unlike most of the car drivers who were searched. Down to the factory and loaded, then headed back to Emerson. Because Tolstoi, the Canada side of the Lancaster crossing, is not a commercial port, it means we cannot bring loads back through so we have to go out of our way to bring them back.
At Emerson, my load wasn't cleared so I had to walk to the broker.. I just so enjoy that...NOT!
Anyway, the truck is currently on the drive at home. I am going to take the little gear I took this week and put it in the house, then take the truck back to the yard.
Clay shoot tomorrow!! The tent has been found. Jackie has packed enough stuff for junior and I to fill the Explorer to the gunwhales and I have to go to one of my favourite stores in the morning, good old Canadian Tire, to get some shells for the .410.
awesome
