So this morning I levered myself out of the pit and bobtailed to the yard, only to be handed a bundle of envelopes and a trailer number. I had to go. bobtail, to the Petro Pumper in Thief River Falls, MN, meet an Overbye Transport driver there, pick up his trailer and bring it back to the yard. Had to go into the city for fuel first, so by the time I got to Thief River, the other driver had gone.
Still, I hooked up, found the bills in the licence holder, but no invoice..
never mind, the PARS was on there so I guessed the invoice was with the broker. Got to the border at Emerson only to find that the load wasn't cleared after all, and that the broker, in Vancouver, had no affiliate in Emerson. Took two hours to get that sorted so now the truck and trailer are parked on the drive for the night. Sounds like I have a Kansas run tomorrow or Sunday.
